2017 - PARIS - NOVI SAD (Serbia)


Large Adam & Eve

A very important group exhibition is organized in 2017 with the Galerie du Centre (Paris) and the Savremene Umetnosti Vojvodine museum in Novi Sad (Serbia).

Grataloup shows a very impressive artwork called "
Large Adam & Eve" created in 2002.


Grataloup Light Color by Milena

On this occasion, he meets an art producer, Nebojsa Bosnjak who will sponsor a book written by Milena on the artist's life and artwork on the same year.

2016 - Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art - Strasbourg


Day & Night

This same year, Grataloup exhibits his painting Day and Night in the Museum of Contemporary and Modern Art in Strasbourg within a private collection exhibition called "The Collector's Eye" belonging to artist's collectors, Jean & Christina Mairet.

2016 - Art & Foot in "La Chapelle" - Clairefontaine


Fortune telling

In September 2016, the Gallery Baudoin Lebon (Paris) inaugurates a new contemporary Art Center in Clairefontaine (Yvelines near Paris) with an exhibition dedicated to football called "Art & Foot".

Grataloup presents an object entitled Fortune Telling he made in 1998 for the World Football contest.

2016 - Vascoeuil Castel solo exhibition

Vascoeuil Castle, Center for Art and History, organizes a large solo exhibition  called "From the bottom to the top".

About one hundred large-format canvases are shown on this occasion.

2015 - URBAN ART & EXIBITION NANTUA


Wall mosaic in Nantua "The Spirit of the Lake"

In 2015, Grataloup completes a mosaic mural commissioned by the "Association for the Grataloup Foundation" and the city of Nantua.

 A large format paintings exhibition inaugurates the urban art realization.

2011 - URBAN ART & EXHIBITION IN CHEVREUSE


Stained glass in Chevreuse

The city of Chevreuse seeks him for the realization of stained glasses for the former priory of the XIth century in Chevreuse. With the cooperation of the Loire workshops in Chartes, he creates a set of three stained glasses representing Eve, the Tree and the symbolism of the time which gets through an hourglass. 


Large Angel Wings

A painting exhibition is organized at the same time (December 2011 - April 2012). Grataloup presents works from the series Angel wings, Bushes, Birds and vacuums around his large Tribute to Carl David Friedrich.

2009 - ESPACE MORETTI - PARIS LA DEFENSE

In March, 2009, with an exhibition in the new Space Moretti of Paris-La-Défense, Grataloup returns to the closest to its monumental urban realization of the tower of ventilation "Galilee".

2007 - 2008 - SOLO EXHIBITION  DEXIA - LUXEMBOURG

In November a large solo exhibition  is organized in the head office of the group Dexia in Luxembourg


Night sea couple

Grataloup shows very numerous paintings of large sizes on different recent series as well as numerous objects. A new catalog of exhibition is edited in this occasion.

2005 - 2006 - BAYER LEVERKUSEN SOLO EXHIBITION (GERMANY)

Thanks to the support of the group Bayer again, a very big exhibition was organized in Leverkusen, Germany, head office of the group. 

More than 200 paintings were offered to the eyes of the public during almost three months, from November to the end of January 2006. A new catalog of exhibition was then published by the Enrico Navara Publishing House.

2005 - LA MAROQUINERIE SOLO EXHIBITION - NANTUA

In July 2005, he exhibited at the “Maroquinerie” in Nantua a series of paintings on the theme of the Nantua lake realized in 1989.

2005 - SOLO EXHIBITION - CHEVREUSE


Exhibition in Chevreuse

In June 2005, the city of Chevreuse celebrated its work through an exhibition in the " Séchoir à Peaux " of Chevreuse. Grataloup presented a series of paintings on the themes of leaves and apple trees.

2004 - COLLECTIVE EXHIBITION - "LE TRIAGE" - NANTERRE

In September 2004, he was sought by one of his faithful and big collectors, Jean Mairet, to participate in a collective exhibition in the "Triage" (Nanterre).

2003 - SOLO EXHIBITION IN CHAPELLE DE LA TRINITE - LYON


Chapelle de la Trinité Lyon

In 2003, two art exhibitions are organized in Lyon : one in the “Chapelle de la Trinité”, the other in “Le Soleil sur la Place” gallery.


Galerie "Le Soleil sur la Place" Lyon

100 paintings were exhibited around the "Tent of the Prophet " an installation realized with gold leaf and based on a sand bed as well as the series " Massabielle ", a Tribute to Bernadette Soubirous.

2002 - SOLO EXHIBITION - CHAPELLE SAINT LOUIS SALPÊTRIÈRE - PARIS

In 2002 with the sponsorship of the Bayer Group (Germany), a major exhibition is organized in Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Salpêtrière in Paris.


Massabielle

90 artworks are exhibited around the Way of Cross and Massabielle series. A exhibition catalog is edited on this occasion Enrico Navarra editions.

2000 - CANNES INTERNAL FILM FESTIVAL - MARTINEZ HOTEL

Grataloup in Martinez Hotel

In 2000, Grataloup is invited as guest star by the Cannes International Film Festival to show his artwork in Martinez Hotel. He presents paintings from his most recent series such as Flowers Women.

1998 - SOLO EXHIBITION AT ENRICO NAVARRA GALLERY (PARIS)

A large exhibition is organized at Enrico Navarra Gallery (Paris) with the publishing of a new monograph  on his artwork with a foreword written by Michel Tournier (famous French writter).

Eve and the snake

All aquarelles are dedicated with texts from famous French writers such as Michel Tournier, Jean-Pierre Saccani, Michel Chaillou and Frédéric Beigbeder....

1988 - "Adventure of art in the twentieth century" Jean-Louis Ferrier

Jean-Louis Ferrier, writer, philosopher, art critic, publishes this year the reference book of XX th century art "Adventure of Art in the 20th Century".

He presents in a clear and lively way the world panorama of the visual arts and architecture in the twentieth century in the original form of a chronicle.


Fall of the Bird Man

Grataloup's artwork is seen through the text of the author and the representation of the painting Fall of the Bird Man

An exhibition at the Gallery Lavignes-Bastille (Paris) is organized to accompany the book release.

1987 - MUSEUM OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE (Paris)


Untitled

The Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Paris launches in 1987 a major operation in order to spread culture in France.

Grataloup is selected with thirty other major artists of his generation to exhibit his work at the Museum of Public Assistance.

He presents a large painting from the series Ryes.

1987 - EUROPEAN PAINTERS


Day and Night

In May 1987, the magazine Eighty devoted to the art of the 80s, asks 30 newspapers from 16 European countries to have their readers nominate their 80 favorite artists.

Grataloup is part of the French selection with 4 paintings including De jour Comme de Nuit (series Ryes).

The resulting exhibition under the title Painter of Europe today, is organized in Strasbourg. It then goes on tour all over Europe.

1978 - GALLERY MARQUET (PARIS) SOLO EXHIBITION


Palm trees at Villa Medici

For this personal exhibition, Grataloup presents works from the series Palm trees at Villa Medici.

The exhibition will be the subject of a very nice criticism of art historian Michael Peppiatt, biographer of Francis Bacon that Grataloup had met in the courtyard of his studio in 37 H.B a few years ago.

1975 - MAGNY EN VEXIN EXHIBITION


Tribute to Claude Monet

From a drawing representing water lilies, Grataloup makes a series of rubbings that he then rubs on canvas. The latter will then be reworked through paint flows revealing drawing and light, in the impressionist technique.This series is exhibited at Hodent, near Magny-en-Vexin on the occasion of a very original collective exhibition organized by a gardener horticulturist, Gérard François.

The aim was to exhibit works in the open field over a period of one week in the gardener's greenhouses.

1972 - CERET MUSEUM OF MODERN ART


Irish Sea

In June 1972, Grataloup participates to a large group exhibition, organized by Jean Clair at the "Musée d'Art Moderne of Céret", entitled "Impact II".

A large part of the artists with whom he  exhibits will be the branding of contemporary art in France and Europe at this time : (Antoni Miralda, Joan Rabascall, ArmanBen, Viallat, Bernar Venet, Vincent Bioulès, Daniel Buren, Pierre Buraglio ....).

1970 - "EUROPLASTIC"  EXHIBITION - PARIS


Plants prints on plastic sheets lit by neon light

1970 is the first exhibition of Contemporary Art in France made exclusively with plastics. It takes place in Paris in June 1970.

Grataloup  presents plant prints on soft plastic sheets, installed in wooden boxes lit by neon lights.

1970 - "100 ARTISTES DANS LA VILLE" - EXHIBITION IN MONTPELLIER

In May 1970 in Montpellier four art producers decide to organize a completely revolutionary exhibition for the time entitled "100 Artists in the City".

100 artists, painters and sculptors, the most representative of contemporary art of the 70s in France and Europe are invited to participate (Boltanski, Cane, Cueco, Kermarrec, Annette Messager, Messac, Poli, Rouan, Viallat .. ). 
Grataloup presents a landscape symbolized by a pictogram of firs.

1968 - Exhibition at "American Center for Students & Artists" Paris


Large chromatic volumes

During these years, he produces large chromatic and spatial volumes in relation to the Scandinavian expressionism he has perceived through his travels in Sweden. His idea is to signify an expressionism by volume, material and colors.

1967 - MUSEO DEL ARTE CONTEMPORANEO - MADRID


Museo del Arte Contemporaneo Madrid

Several exhibitions on the work of Grataloup are organized in Madrid during his two years in Casa Velasquez, at the "Biblioteca nacional" (1966) and at the Museo del Arte Contemporaneo (1967). 

1966 - GALLERY STROGET - (SWEDEN) - SOLO EXHIBITION

Eve & the Snake

During these two years at Casa de Velasquez, Rachel regularly travels to Sweden with Agneta where exhibitions are organized on his recent work.In 1966 a solo exhibition is organized in Malmö (Sweden) at the Ströget Gallery.

He presents a series of works made at the Casa de Velasquez on the theme of 
"Eve and Hell". Almost all the work done at Casa de Velasquez is sold and remains in Sweden. In France, there today remains very few art pieces of this period.
